PROBLEM: APP CRASH – (Firefox – Browser)
THE ACCUSSATION: – Evil “Bundled” software installer; – Skype 3.6.0.244 – (Theyve bundled this addon into the installer) – and I have failed to detect it during the instalation.
SOURCE OF PROBLEM: >>> “Skype Extension (addon) ver2.2.0.70,” <<<- (for Firefox).. which is telling me that it is NOT compatible with Firefox 3.6.3, -AND- Known to cause security or stability issues. (To be confirmed soon)
SYMPTOMS: >>> Internet connection stopped, and the firefox browser process would continue in the taskmanager. This process could NOT be stopped via the taskmanager, and a reboot of the computer was required, to restore connectivity.
Need to investigate utilities (for Vista-Biz) to allow “Ending-Process” that crash.
[UPDATED; 10am Thursday 29th] – Finished the whole day (yesterday) without any “app-crash -/- disonnection”. Concluding the skype-addon, was the cause of this app-crash problem.
It will take another day to confirm, this accusation, as I have only just made this discovery. The absense of a “Firefox app crash” will confirm that the problem exists with the “skype-addon”.
It is simply NICE to find something to point the finger at, as there has been NO error messages and is a random / intermittant problem.
SENARIO
Getting THIS – (Disconnection from ISP) “intermittantly”
Ie; – intermittantly, MEANs that I have been using the connection ALL day, without ANY problem.
THEN; – right in the middle of a “Remote-Edit” – and I am on a roll, .. (The “App-Crash”) – which is NOT presenting ANY error messages, .. -*the browser*-, .. simply stops responding.
CURRENTLY – (THE SENARIO, under which the browser has “Crashed”)
There is currently 23-Tabbed pages open, (Might THIS be contributing to the problem?)
I was right in the middle of the previous post – “Kubrick Theme” – AND; To be interrupted like this is MOST inconvienient, .. to the point that I have to copy and paste where I was up to and save it in a text file. (Hence part of the last post is pasted HERE, in this post, … dont ask)

MADE A DISCOVERY; – (That Internet Explorer ver8 – is absolutely RUBBISH, when it comes to editing via online via the wordpress control panel)
It IS the first time that I have had to try this browser for this purpose, (AND; most likely the LAST), …
It would Jump, (Within the little “Post-Editing-Window”), .. editing a longish all text post, …
Any time I would press “Enter”, or “Del”, … the post would “Jump-Up-To-The-Beggining” of the post ? ? ? (Grrrrrrrrr)
One problem leads onto another, – (Rather fix the first problem, OR try another browser, ..?) Opera maybe.
MAYBE NOT; – (Upon rebooting this time, AND; opening Firefox)
FIREFOX; – Is wanting to update the “Micro$oft .NET Framework Assistant 1.2.1
